Event Details

After the morning program. attendees to the Business & Nonprofit Philanthropy Summit and Awards will have the opportunity to attend one of three concurrent learning sessions, focused on Impact, Innovation or Partnerships. Please read below for a description of each session.

Please note that you may only sign up for and attend one session.

Impact Learning Session

About this session: This session will bring together leaders in community impact from both the nonprofit and business communities of the Greater DC Region. Join these regional leaders to hear how they successfully achieved results, how they measure those results, and what impact means to their organizations and communities. Following the panel, there will be an audience question and answer session.

Speakers include:

  • Nancy Beer Tobin, Vice-President, Corporate Social Responsibility, CGI
  • Christopher Fay, Executive Director, Homestretch
  • Barbara Krumsiek, President and CEO, Calvert Investments
  • Allison Fansler, President and COO, KIPP DC

Partnership Learning Session

About this session: This session will focus on creating sustainable partnerships to strengthen community investing. Leaders from the nonprofit and business sectors will discuss their partnership strategies and share success stories. Following the panel, there will be an audience question and answer session.

Speakers include:

  • Statton Hammock, Sr. Director, Legal & Business Affairs, Network Solutions
  • Angela Woods, Interim Chief Executive Officer, United Way of the National Capital Area
  • Amy Ward, Executive Director, ServeDC, Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism

Innovation Learning Session

About this session: This session will bring together leaders in the business, nonprofit, and government sectors to discuss their innovative approaches to working in the community. These leaders will discuss how innovative approaches to philanthropy, service, and community investing have strengthened their mission and work. Following the panel, there will be an audience question and answer session.

Speakers include:

  • Margaret Singleton, Vice President and Executive Director, DC Chamber of Commerce Foundation
  • Lee Reilly, Vice President of Interactive Group, Lipman Hearne
